what

we

believe...

God's ultimate plan is to exalt Jesus

Kevin O'dea

We believe in the One True God who exists eternally in three persons; namely, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things that have been created, both visible and invisible. (Gen. 1:1, Deut. 6:4, John 1:1-3, Col. 1:16, Matt. 3:16-17)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and the unique revelation of God to mankind. He is supreme over, and the rightful Ruler of, all things. (John 1:14, 18; John 3:16, Phil. 2:9-11, Col. 1:17-18)

We believe that mankind is a fallen race born into iniquity and that the evil in the world is the result of mankind's rebellion against God. The only means of reconciliation with God is through believing in Jesus Christ's death on the cross as the blood sacrifice (atonement) for our sin. (Rom. 3:23, Gen. 2:16-17, Pr. 14:12, Acts 4:12)

We believe that Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead on the third day and that all who put their faith in Him and believe the message of His Gospel receive Eternal Life. All such believers form the Body of Christ which is also known as the Church. (Matt. 28:1-10, Mk. 16:1-8, Lk. 24:1-49, John 20, John 3:16, Rom. 12:4-5, 1 Cor. 12:12-13, Eph. 1:22-23, 5:23)

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the agent through which we are brought to faith in Christ. After we come to faith the Holy Spirit becomes our Counselor and Comforter in this life. We further believe that the fullness of the Holy Spirit (also known as the baptism in the Holy Spirit) is available to believers who ask bringing with it empowerment and gifts in all generations just as it did in the book of Acts. (John 16:7-11, Rom. 8:9, John 14:26, Lk. 3:16, Acts 2:14-18)

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe that it provides our instruction for life and that all philosophies, creeds, wisdom, and claims to revelation must bow to its authority. (2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Tim. 3:16, Rom. 1:16, Ps. 138:2)

We believe that Jesus Christ will make an imminent physical return to earth to destroy the World System and establish the literal Kingdom of God upon the earth. Come quickly, Lord Jesus. (Rev. 18:11-21, Rev. 22:7, 1 John 5:19, Is. 65:17-25, Rev. 22:20)
